Vickers Hardness Test (HV)
Hardness TestingISO 6507-1 / GB/T 4340.1Applicable to hardness testing of all metallic disc springs/washers. Especially suitable for thin discs (t<2mm), case depth profiling, and micro-hardness analysis. Materials: 51CrV4, C67S, 42CrMo4, Inconel 718, 17-7PH, etc.
Rockwell Hardness Test (HRC)
Hardness TestingISO 6508-1 / GB/T 230.1Suitable for rapid post-heat-treatment hardness testing of disc springs/washers with thickness ≥1.5mm. Not suitable for thin discs (t<1mm), case-hardened layers, or brittle materials. Preferred method for batch sampling in mass production.
Brinell Hardness Test (HB)
Hardness TestingISO 6506-1 / GB/T 231.1Suitable for incoming raw material hardness inspection (hot-rolled/cold-rolled strip, bar stock). Large indentation (1-6mm) reflects macro-hardness. Not suitable for finished thin discs (t<3mm) or case-hardened layer testing.
Rotary Bending Fatigue Test
Fatigue TestingISO 1143 / GB/T 4337Applicable to fundamental fatigue property assessment of raw and heat-treated materials: 51CrV4, C67S, 42CrMo4, Inconel 718 and other spring steels/high-temp alloys. Used to build material-level S-N curve database.
Tension-Compression Fatigue Test (Product Level)
Fatigue TestingDIN 2093:2012 §6.3 / DIN 50100Applicable to fatigue life verification of finished disc springs/washers under simulated operational cyclic loading. Covers all product categories: DIN 2093, DIN 6796, DIN 25201, DIN 9250, NFE 25-511. Adjustable test frequency and deflection range.
Room Temperature Tensile Test
Tensile TestingISO 6892-1 / GB/T 228.1Applicable to incoming inspection and process validation of tensile properties for all disc spring/washer raw materials: 51CrV4, C67S, 42CrMo4, Inconel 718, 17-7PH, C75S, etc.
High Temperature Tensile Test
Tensile TestingISO 6892-2 / GB/T 228.2Applicable to high-temperature tensile property assessment of SSHT disc spring materials: Inconel 718, 17-7PH, Inconel X-750, etc. Validates strength retention at elevated temperatures, providing material data for high-temperature disc spring design.
Microstructure Analysis
Metallographic TestingISO 643 / GB/T 13298 / DIN 2093 §7.2Applicable to post-heat-treatment microstructure evaluation of all disc springs/washers. Checks tempered structure, decarburization depth, surface defects. 51CrV4 normal structure: tempered troostite + minor tempered sorbite.
Grain Size Assessment
Metallographic TestingISO 643 / GB/T 6394Applicable to post-heat-treatment grain size quality control. Significantly affects fatigue life and relaxation. 51CrV4 normal grain size G7-G9; Inconel 718 after solution+aging G5-G8.
Non-Metallic Inclusion Assessment
Metallographic TestingISO 4967 / GB/T 10561Applicable to raw material cleanliness assessment and incoming inspection. Inclusion type and grade directly affect disc spring fatigue life and reliability — a key material batch acceptance criterion.
Neutral Salt Spray Test (NSS)
Salt Spray TestISO 9227 / GB/T 10125Applicable to corrosion resistance assessment of disc springs with/without surface treatment. Zinc-plated typically ≥72h no red rust; Dacromet ≥240h; SS 17-7PH ≥96h. Also used for coating thickness vs. corrosion resistance correlation studies.
Intergranular Corrosion Test
Salt Spray TestASTM A262 Practice E / GB/T 4334Applicable to intergranular corrosion susceptibility assessment of austenitic stainless steels: 17-7PH, Inconel 718, Inconel X-750, etc. Validates that materials won't suffer intergranular embrittlement after welding or high-temperature service.
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
Dimensional InspectionISO 10360-2 / GB/T 16857.2Applicable to first-article inspection, process capability studies (CPK≥1.33), precision selective assembly. DIN 2093 Group 1 requires De tolerance ±0.05mm (De≤50mm), Di tolerance ±0.10mm.
Profile Projector Inspection
Dimensional InspectionDIN 2093 §5 / ISO 17411Applicable to rapid non-contact cross-section profile inspection of disc springs/washers. Especially suitable for serration inspection (DIN 9250), chamfer/radius measurement, stamping burr assessment. Complementary to CMM.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Non-Destructive TestingISO 16810 / GB/T 2970Applicable to internal defect detection of incoming raw material strip/plate, and internal quality verification of large disc springs (De>100mm). Detects cracks, delamination, inclusions, porosity. Not suitable for t<2mm.
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
Non-Destructive TestingISO 9934-1 / GB/T 15822Applicable to surface and near-surface defect detection in ferromagnetic disc springs (51CrV4, C67S, 42CrMo4, etc.). Detects surface cracks, hairline cracks, laps, flakes. Sensitivity: crack width ≥0.5μm, depth ≥10μm.
