DIN 2093 — Disc Springs: Calculation & Dimensions
DIN 2093
Core design standard for disc springs. Defines geometry (De, Di, t, h₀, L₀), force calculation (F-DIN2093-001), stress analysis, fatigue life assessment, and stacking design (series/parallel/combined). Covers Group 1-3 full size range, OD 8.0-250 mm, thickness 0.2-14 mm, materials 51CrV4/CK67/C75S/H13. DIN 2093 is the parent standard for all subsequent disc spring standards.
DIN 25201 — Double-Stack Lock Washers: Design Guide
DIN 25201
Design and application standard for double-stack lock washer systems. Defines wedge-locking principle: relative rotation of two washers creates wedging effect, converting vibration load into frictional locking force. Covers M3-M48, operating temperature -40°C~+200°C, materials 42CrMo4/51CrV4. Locking performance superior to standard spring washers and nylon-insert lock nuts; vibration life ≥10⁶ cycles.
NF E 25-511 — French Serrated Lock Washers
NF E 25-511
French standard for serrated lock washers. Defines Type Z (fine knurl), Type M (medium knurl), Type L (coarse knurl). Serrations cold-stamped; washer embeds into mating surfaces to provide anti-loosening. Material XC75 (C75S)/XC65, surface phosphated or zinc-plated. Mainly used in automotive, agricultural machinery, and general mechanical assembly.
DIN 9250 — Serrated Lock Washers
DIN 9250
German serrated lock washer standard, with toothed and non-toothed variants. Serrations form a circular array, 6-24 teeth (size-dependent). Teeth slide during tightening; tooth edges embed into the mating surface to prevent loosening. Suitable for grade 8.8/10.9 bolted joints under alternating loads and vibration. Material C75S/51CrV4.
DIN 6796 — Conical Spring Washers
DIN 6796
Conical spring washer standard, providing sustained elastic preload compensation for bolted joints. Heat treatment and presetting of conical shape yield stable elastic characteristics. Prevents preload loss from thermal expansion, creep, and settlement. Lower h₀/t ratio than DIN 2093; spring rate near-linear. Typical applications: transformer/motor/heat exchanger joints under thermal cycling.
DIN EN 16983 — Disc Springs: General Specification
DIN EN 16983
General quality specification and acceptance standard for disc springs, supplementing DIN 2093 design requirements. Specifies material certificates (EN 10204 Type 2.2/3.1), dimensional inspection (AQL 2.5), force calibration (AQL 4.0), fatigue type testing, surface quality and corrosion protection. Defines 3 quality classes: Class A (precision, force tolerance ±5%), Class B (industrial, ±10%), Class C (general, ±15%). Latest revision integrates original DIN 2093 quality clauses and DIN EN ISO 9001 process audit requirements.
